The Rocks and Sydney YHA

The Rocks is full of historic laneways and beautiful old buildings.

It's always a pleasure to wander through.

On this occasion I was lucky enough to catch the markets.

Plus I had a guided tour of the YHA built over an archeological dig.

Saw some old rockers wandering around as well.

Ace Frehley was playing the Enmore theatre with supporting guitarist Richie Star.

A legend in his own right and known as "The Emperor of Rock 'n' Roll"

Boxing Day 2018

Hyde Park is a hub for social events.

Especially on Boxing Day.

Music, bubbles and kids running all over.

I wandered amongst the old fig trees and flowers till I found myself at the QVB.

The Queen Victoria Building was packed with prospective bargain hunters.

I took the opportunity to capture some of the Christmas decorations.

Nulla Creek camp with the old farts.

New Years Eve rolled around again.

Glad I was here to see another one.

The best place for me at New Years is a place called Nulla Nulla Creek.

Its quiet apart from the wildlife, and chatter of old farts talking motorbikes.

Always a great time.

New chain for the RF600

I purchased a new DID X Ring chain for the RF600.

But I did not have a rivet press and had to improvise.

A chain breaker, g clamp and a few washers will do the trick.

While I'm there I'll weld the broken rack mounts too.

Ive got a ballards rivet press.

Plus a few washers.

I've got to make the link press through the link plate.

Gently does it.

Hmm. Seems to be working.

Now to start spreading the rivets.

I'll peen them with a hammer after this.

I wondered why my rack was moving.

All good now.
