Kilprotay to Longsaddle Ride

Today's plan was to head up into Hickeys Creek and join Kilprotay Road, 

then up into Five Day.

We met Phil at Mungay Creek and headed up into the range.

We found Spotted Cat Trail, which we had searched for previously, but never found.

Probably because we were usually moving to fast to read trail signs.

The trail was well over grown, so we headed out through Cockatiel Road into Thumb Creek.

The loggers had cleared Cockatiel somewhat and we took a trail into Little Thumb Creek.

After one wrong turn, we headed into Taylors Arm for lunch.

I swamped my camera at a fast creek crossing, so that was the last picture for the day.

There where some big wash aways, and a bridge that had fallen into the creek.

Kingy and Phil rode straight across, but David and I took the safer option. 

We met another mob of trail riders from Kempsey and had a fast run through Ennis Trail.

The old DR650 must have been too scary to pass, or I was just using all the road.

Only one young fellow on a WRF got past me, and that's because I let him through.

The big yellow beast just couldn't carry speed over the many jumps on Ennis Road.

After a quick breather we took Kingys Broken Ankle loop out into Mungay and home.

Gearys Flat & The Blowhole RIde

One of the Bowraville boys decided to join us for a run down through Kumbatine National Park.

We started out through Wittitrin and on to Bears Road.

Heading south we encountered some bridge work and many cows.

Crossing Little Loop Road up to the start of Gearys Flat we closed the loop at Dungay Creek.

With a few hours still up our sleeve we thought to have a look at "The Blowhole" on Boonanghi Forest Road.

Kingy snapped a brake lever on the DRZ so with a quick replacement we were off again.

I reckon Kingy should have left the lever off as he seemed much faster without it.

We crossed the greasy creek bed and headed down Duneight Road and back through Dungay Creek.

A good day was had by all with no injury, and plenty of laughs.

Yarrahappinni to Algomera Ride

Eric and Leo put their hands up for a run through Algomerah and up the side of Yarrahappinni.

We attempted some State Rail Recon but ran out of road. 

Preferring not to be clipped by a train we pulled out and continued to Way Way State Forest.

We all had a go at the monster hill climb, Eric had better results than Leo and I.

I ran out of battery after my fourth fall only 60 metres from the top and had to bail.

Leo was impressed by my tactical dive headfirst into a lantana bush after a bad crossup in the ruts.

After a breather we explored Way Way then headed across the highway to Algomerah Creek Road.

The shadows were getting longer so we made good time with a fast run into Collombatti.

By the time we hit Frederickton the sun was on its way down.

A great day, and some new trails have been explored.
