A client brought an older Compaq laptop to my workshop this week. She bought it off eBay. I would not boot to windows.
I started a cmd line chkdsk/r file repair and the drive started ticking/clunking.
I ran a drive diagnostic and the drive has read/write errors. The drive has failed. I call the client to inform her of the situation and she states
"Well it never had a problem until it was in your workshop'.
What the fuck? Why is it here then? Probably because it wouldnt boot to Windows?
Probably due to the drive being rooted?
What is wrong with people? Are they that fucking stupid?
It would appear so..

Keep it green
In this age of global warming, I like the idea of "keeping it green by reading on the screen".
I've been sending out invoices this way for many years, and its surprising how often they are just ignored or "lost".
It seems the onscreen version of an invoice doesn't have carry the weight of a paper one.
Its seems its nonphysical existence leaves it psychologically weak.
Or maybe people are just lazy.. and don't like to pay
